Our church youth group consists of any and every kid, and kid at heart. We do many fun things, including skiing, canoeing, fishing, camping, haunted trails, field trips, and other activities. Skiing Whee! When we go to Paoli to ski we have a blast! It's so fun to zoom down mountains on skis and tubes! Our last trip was on Jan.24, 2009. We do not currently have a new trip scheduled. Canoeing When we went canoeing in 2008, we had a splashing and smashing good time. We also had a nice picnic halfway through the trip. Thanks to Matt, Kelly, John, and Shelby for enforcing the canoeing rules. In the 2009 canoe trip, sadly, John could noy help enforce the laws. Fortunately, we got two new members, Jeff and Katlyn! The water was strangely lukewarm according to those who didn't follow the law. Link to canoe pictures below. Haunted Trail Are you afraid? If you're, not well... BOO! Come join us on our haunted adventure on Halloween. It's a spooky and fun way to enjoy halloween. Even though most churches don't celebrate Halloween, but at Hemenway, we enjoy all the holidays in the year! The next Haunted trail will be held Oct.24 2009. The theme Fishing I got a big one!! Will you be at our next fishing trip? Will you catch a fish?-Or better, the mighty albino? (yes,it is real) Will you use bait or lure? Cheese or worm? Will you come?... or not? Christmas Parade Join the rest of Boonville in the annual christmas parade! You wouldn't believe how creative some ideas are. Some floats include the Boonville police, boy scouts, churches and many more! Our float is in the link below. Production of: The Christmas Story Lights! Camera! Action! Our church made a production of The Christmas Story..... with plenty of bloopers! We had lots of fun acting, producing, and directing the movie. Matt, our "technical producer", pieced it together for us, and added some cool sound effects. Overall, it was a very funny and amazing experience! You can see both links of the movie below. Movie Night I wonder what movie we will watch this year? Will we watch an animated one? I hope so! Last movie night we watched Kung Fu Panda. What will we watch this time? Pool Party The Sunday School pool party is always a blast. You can see the video below. Annual Basketball Fundraiser Game The basketball kids vs. adults basketball game is always hilarious. Since the Christmas movie was a great hit, we decided to make another. This year, we're taking bible scenes, and then making spoofs of them. It's going to be lots of fun! The high-schoolers will be filming, and everyone younger will be in the play.
